Runes serve both as in-game currency and experience points, making them essential to purchasing items and leveling weapons in the game. There are ways of earning them faster than simply killing enemies.

Caelid is an ideal spot for elden ring runes farming, just minutes away from the Bestial Sanctum Site of Grace. Simply avoid the big boss while killing Albinaurics to reap rewards and reap the benefits!

1. Site of Grace

Just ahead lies an armory room filled with Drawstring Fire Grease; this provides the ideal place to level up weapon upgrades!

3. Mohgwhyn’s Palace

Mohgwhyn's Palace is an excellent rune farming location within Elden Ring and also marks the first time players can challenge Mohg, Lord of Blood - an extremely difficult area boss whose attacks combine physical damage with magical spells to cause bleeding spells that strike multiple times per hit. Players should come prepared.

Players have two ways of reaching the Palace - either using the Pureblood Knight's Medal item given to them by White-Face Varre at the conclusion of his questline, or through a secret portal in Consecrated Snowfields that requires having access to Hildtree Secret Medallion item.

Players can reach the Palace Approach Ledge Road from the Teleporter by following a path that leads down a winding road, where they will discover an abandoned temple containing Mohg. Players should then enter it for further adventure!

4. Liurnia North Road

After successfully completing the Academy of Raya Lucaria, Tarnished will gain access to new areas throughout elden ring runes region, such as small dungeons, roaming bosses, NPCs and scarabs - these sites also serve as checkpoints that reawaken Tarnished when he dies!

One of the finest rune farms can be found near Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace in Mohgwyn Palace area. After speaking to White-Face Varre at Rose Church and killing Godrick the Grafted, players can use his seal to access this location.

In this area, there is a large bird that drops over 2000 Runes per kill. To increase this rune reward further, players can equip a Golden Scarab Talisman or consume Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot which increases it by 30% - either put them in Quick Pouch or Inventory storage to achieve this effect.
